James K.A. Smith, professor of philosophy at Calvin College, opens one of his books not by thanking an author of theological tomes or a world class philosopher, as one might imagine. Rather, he dedicates the book to his son with these words:
“For Coleson, whose dreams and visions of a fantastic world encourage me to hope for a re-imagined church.”
I, too, find hope in fantastic worlds. This song by Loreena McKennitt set to fantastical images spurs my imagination towards beautiful and hopeful, epic stories.
Theme: Speaker by Alex Willemyns.
